JULIE STALHEIM

Voice, Piano/Voice, Choir

Originally from a small town in northern Illinois, Julie Stalheim has enjoyed visiting the Madison area and is excited to live in such a wonderful town!

She is a recent graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, IL, with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at Millikin, Julie actively participated in numerous choirs and ensembles, including Women's Ensemble, Concert Choir, University Women, Tudor Voices, and University Choir. In University Choir, she performed at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. and at the ACDA National Convention in Miami, FL. Julie studied abroad in Urbania, Italy, with a focus on early music and the Italian language. She performed works from Gluck, Landini, Palestrina, and Gastoldi.

During her studies at Millikin, Julie served as church choir director and accompanist for the Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church.

In addition to singing, Julie has studied the piano since age 7. She received piano instruction at college and has found that skill to be quite useful in the music education profession.
