Mandy Brobst-Renaud, MT-BC, was born in Pella, Iowa. She began playing the piano at age six, the violin and flute at eight, and guitar at age 12.
Throughout junior high and high school, she participated in choir, orchestra, band, and various small groups within each ensemble. In sixth grade, she decided she wanted to become an orchestra director, but as she progressed through high school, she realized her passion for people with special needs was leading her toward a career in music therapy. Mandy attended Augsburg College, where she majored in music therapy and minored in psychology. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors and Distinction in 2004. She completed her internship at Community Therapy Services in Geneva, Illinois, in 2005.
Mandy currently resides in Madison with her husband, Ben, and is looking forward to the musical opportunities in the area.
